In this role you will work with fully fledged Cyber Defence team across a traditional working week. There will be instances (in event of a breach / onboarding) where it’s all hands-on deck and overtime is expected, with occasional travel to client site.
Given the nature of this role, this should come as no surprise. Most importantly, expect to work on some of most intriguing and relevant jobs within this sector.

A look into the role
As a Cyber Defence Manager within our Cyber Defence Centre, you will:
Work with the Cyber Defence team and wider group to ensure creation of LLD in line with customer requirements.
Proactively logging and tracking time worked on projects accurately to ensure accurate P&L.
Maintain and promote, good customer service culture at all times.
Able to articulate and present highly technical solutions to customers.
Ensure deployed services are configured and aligned to customer business requirements.
Defining and executing appropriate test plans based on the technology deployed to ensure customer acceptance of delivered project has meet their requirements.
Deliver and assist other professionals in understanding technical and design requirements.
Monitor, maintain and protect networks, systems and assets from malicious activity using technologies such as Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) as well as Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM).
Provide daily summary reports of network events and activity relevant to cyber defence practices.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Cyber Defence Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is strong IT Security background. A passion for cyber security is a must with relevant IT / Security qualifications to set you apart.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
Essential:
Experience in a Cyber defence or similar technical delivery role.
Microsoft Server, Desktop and Linux Server technologies.
Experience in LAN deployments using VLAN segmentation along with ACL.
Knowledge of Cyber/Information Security Frameworks such as NIST and CIS CCS.
Experience and knowledge with IT Security software e.g. NGAV, EDR, SIEM etc.
Knowledge of cyber security standards such as ISO27001, NIST, CIS Critical Controls.
VMWare or Hyper-V and server integration.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), MCP’s in desktop and server technologies, GWAPT, OSCP, CCNA.
Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25, WASC and exposure to ISO 27001, 9001.
